About
Shelfcloud puts cloud games into your Steam library. Pick a game, and it appears on your Deck as a tile that launches straight into the stream.
Who builds this
Shelfcloud is built by Bart Schelstraete, an independent developer based in Belgium. It is a personal project, not backed by a company or funded by any cloud gaming provider.
Open source
The Decky plugin that runs on the Steam Deck is open source:
- shelfcloud-decky — the plugin that creates tiles, applies artwork and controller layouts, and syncs your library.
The backend (the catalog, the API, the website you are reading now) is not open source. It handles user accounts, provider data, and artwork serving, and keeping it closed lets the project run sustainably without exposing API keys and operational details.
The catalog data comes from the cloud gaming providers themselves and is refreshed daily. Shelfcloud does not host, stream, or redistribute any games.
